Pleasure

What I like most about this is Sue’s reply to Grae’s comment 🙂

Sue de Nimes

We long for yesterday.
The sun shone, the songbirds sang,
the buttercups danced in delight
and we made love amongst them,
pulsating with pleasure.

Today, foreboding dark clouds.
The rains threaten, the birds are silenced,
the buttercups bow their heads in despair,
and we feel the loss with them,
mournful with melancholy.

Had we embraced that which is,
seen the truth of nature,
expressed our gratitude,
for the rhythm of the elements,
we would feel no pain from the pleasure
of memories of yesterday.
